Seamless Shower - I'm in love!

January 7th

4 days till pre settlement inspection.

8 days till closing...

It's a close and steady race...

Today was Custom Seamless Shower Day!

I caught it in the action...

Love it Love it.... did I say Love it? :)

Woo Hoo looks like a high end hotel in the Riviera Maya.

In pics they are still working on the door. Looks even better in person.

The large black marks you see on the glass in tape holding the sealant in place, those will be removed.

I highly suggest working with your glass company directly as we did to get this custom order.  It just saves your PM the work so it becomes an easier item to get if you do the footwork, in my opinion.

Look Ma' no seams!

(photo warning: the window is NOT in the shower, it is an awesome reflection of the window above the tub, it sure does look that way though...WOW)

ignore the black tape, he is still installing the door.
Gesh looks like the window is in the shower, the glass is just that reflective, it's above the tub!

There were so many people there today, like 8 trucks out front, painters and plumbers and concrete and glass people and my PM. So many last end pieces coming together, it's all gotta get done by thursday for their RH inspection.

Tomorrow is granite day.  So good so far, let's see how it goes/

Brick will get powerwashed tomorrow too, here's hoping and praying that works too on the white areas, I will let y'all know.

Today is a better day than yesterday! High's and Low's :)

  5. Sorry to do two comments, but do you have a tub? The window in our Master Bath is over the tub. Did you go for cathedral ceilings or is it because you have the 2 foot bump out…wonder how we have the same house but different layout?

    1. Danielle,

We have 9 feet ceilings.....no cathedral. We have a window above our tub, I will take better pics tomorrow.

We have a double sink and also a water closet in our master bath.

We also have a window and a closet in our water closet.

We have two walk in closets in our Master bed.

We got the 2 foot ext. in our living room and our garage.

Your kitchen is different you have an opening to your morning room off to the right of your sink, we do not. We requested that it be filled in with cabinets and a closed off space. We added an L shaped gourmet island.

4 bedrooms with open foyer and small Loft area at top of stairs.

      Unfinished basement.

I am thinking it is because of the extension of the garage and the living room off the kitchen.

      How is your bathroom different?

    3. Now I get it, the window looks like it's in your shower, but it is a reflection. How cool is that for trick photography…lol! Our bathroom sounds similar except we have a wall that separates our shower and bathtub. I will take a picture and will put in on my blog. Yes, I noticed that your kitchen is different. I can't wait to see pictures of what it all looks like. Anyway, I can't believe that you will be moving in so soon. How exciting is that?

  8. Is that a window in the shower? Please tell me that is a reflection from the glass... I can't imagine how you would get blinds to cover that. I must be seeing it wrong.

    2. That is so funny!. I had to keep looking at it to be sure. But at first glance, I really thought there was a window in there. How weird would that be? Now that I can see past that, I really love your seamless shower. Great job on doing the leg work and pushing for it. Now that we are moved in and I am cleaning mine regularity, I am quite jealous that you only have glass to clean.

  9. I really want a seamless shower. Do you mind if I ask how much something like that costs?

    1. Well, they credit you what RH charges you for the seamed shower frame, so we paid the difference in our Model the Savoy. This type of upgrade was approx. $1,200.00. We thought long and hard and to have the standard one put in, and try to rip it out any pay about $3000.00 to have another one installed, didn't make sense to us. I understand many people don't want the extra expense, but I slacked in other areas of the house to get this...it's all what is important to you. What was really nice too was that we didn't have to put this into our mortgage, we paid for it upfront, which was also a HUGE factor for us. We paid the glass company directly. I am sure my cost is just a starting point, every model has to be a little different.

    1. We never requested that our tile go that far, that is how they just did it! I was very happy, I see how on many homes they seen to stop at an odd place.

    1. Sarah if you sales rep says NO, ask what Co. installs the shower and call them directly!!! I didnt even deal with RH homes on this one, I paid for it cash difference. RH is just worried a worker will BREAK the shower and THEY will have to replace it (its true its what my PM tells me) so they didnt do that shower until very last until no one needed to be in that bathroom. If you want it, be prepared to fight for it a little, but sooo worth it!! Let me know how it goes.
