St. Cecilia Granite installed! Great pick.

January 9th

Day 94.

Granite was installed today..Love it Love it.

Two for Two  - loved my seamless shower yesterday.

It seems we got the lighter version of this granite, plus it has specks of red/burgendy in it......I just love it, wish my phone could take a real good close up..

Today got:

Brick washed, but still see remainder of white on brick, we will see what happens when we discuss at pre settlement on friday.

Drop sink moved (is this a blooper in the pic...you tell me)

Lamp post
Mailbox
Exterior lights
Front Door first coat of paint
Flooring company fixed carpet, but still not right
Got an outlet in our island, I don't know why they do that last?
Decorative around door some work done.

Still to do by tomorrow...

Rest of granite backsplash, the granite company was there when I was there, they were waiting for the backsplash to arrive..........hmm?? When it arrived it was wrong, they installed our backsplash somewhere else so I was told...we will see how this turns out, I'm not really worried and I'm worried that I'm not worried..LOL.  They still have to come back tomorrow.

Appliances in dining room still need installed.

Kitchen sink faucet

More Cleaning, still dirty cause workers still there.

2nd coat of paint on front door

Finish big part of decorative pieces in the center of the house outside.

It's close...2 days is RH's inspection, I have been told these inspectors are not employed by RH, it's an outside company that comes in.....did we know that?

Please take not of the drop sink pics?  Does anyone else see anything wrong or is it just me?  So take a gander and let me know your thoughts?

OUTSIDE CENTER OF HOUSE NOT COMPLETE YET. We opted out of the Shutters.

ANY COMMENTS HERE? OR IS IT ME?

Again, any input?  I'm not saying anything.
There is NO window in my shower, its just a reflection....in the below pics.

  1. Very Nice, DW! They are making great progress and I can't wait to see the pictures. On my way to post mines!

Hope the brick gets washed again or they offer a resolution that meets your satisfaction.

    1. It appears one washing has helped, they are going to do another washing upon my request, they said not to worry the washing will make it go away....

  2. I'm sure I'm missing something but to me, the pipe that extends right next to sink is in a bad spot. You are going to kick that all the time.

    1. Catherine, they are fixing it and relocating the pipe into another pipe along the wall. It's all good :)

  3. Wow, that's the best solution for the sink drain? I would be dangerous in that area because I can literally trip over nothing! =)

Still loving the shower! The granite looks good too!

  4. I agree!! It looks a bit funky!!

DW, ask for what you want!! Remember to not settle!! If it isn't working for you now, it won't work for you later!

I really don't understand the logic behind the set up - do ask!

LOVELY EXTERIOR AND IN LOVE WITH THE SHOWER!

Our PM told us today it will be easy to change out which my husband can easily take apart to avoid additional fees. Thanks for sharing this priceless upgrade!!

    1. BTW- great idea to opt out of the shutters to give you a different look on your home and even nicer for your PM to let you keep them if you change your mind. I love your brick color!!

  5. Your granite is awesome! I was hoping for the lighter version but I ended up with the medium.

I hope they can do something about your sink, I too would trip over that with ease!

  6. The St. Cecilia looks great! I don't remember having that as an option in my area...hope my granite turns out as nice. Thanks for the pics of the shower and for blogging about having the tile go almost all the way up. I believe that it was your blog that gave us the idea that we mentioned to our PM...who came through in a BIG way and got it done even though it was supposed to have been a non standard request.

I can't wait to see how your floors turn out!

  7. Funny everytime I see your initials DW, I think of myself cause I'm DW too. But anyway, I really like your kitchen. The granite plus the cabinet choice is beautiful.
