NEW RYAN MOTTO - JUST TOO BUSY - OVERWHELMED TO FIX YOUR HOME!!!

Haven't blogged, not much good to say.

Been battling Ryan Homes for a long time to get the front of my house to stop leaking.

I think its been a year now.

Been in my home over 1.5 years.

My fypon, front door, window above door and my study window leak into my home.

All I do is get the run around, a patch job here, a patch job there, more ordering of shit here and there, weeks pass by and another bandaid is applied.

Ive had plastic...........yes plastic on my foyer window for a month now to keep out the water because the window just aint in YET.............Did you really order the freaking thing???

Transom window replace 3x.

Front door replaced 1x.

Numerous attempts of replacing window sills and casing to see if that STOPS the problem!!!!!

All I over hear is.......

WE ARE SO BUSY

WE ARE SO BACKED UP

WE ARE SO OVERWHELMED!

NO WATER DAMAGE THERE RIGHT????????????????????????????

HAS LOOKED LIKE THIS FOR A MONTH

BACK YARD, LOSING BATTLE, RYAN DOESNT CARE!  IF YOU ARE BUILDING A RYAN HOME, NEVER GIVE
UP ON THE THINGS THAT ARENT RIGHT. EMAIL DAILY IF YOU HAVE TO, IT WORKS.....SOMETIMES!

UPDATE ON 8-24-2014
They are saying my upper window and fypon are in and we are trying to schedule a day. I get it all done in two days.  They are also painting my entire 2 story foyer the color of my choice, so that was a nice perk.  We are looking at maybe mid Sept of course, but I hope its forward progress on the front of my home. :)

  1. I'm so sorry! I know you have been dealing with this crap for a very long time. It's absolutely exhausting. I know just from dealing with my own problems with my house. Nobody cares. I'm sick of hearing the excuses, leaving messages only to not have someone reply. **hugs**. Hang in there neighbor!

  2. Our back yard looks the same. We'll be in our house for 2 years at the end of this month. Thankfully our indoor problems have been less serious, but I do worry that our foundation will be at risk if we don't get the yard problems fixed at some point.

  3. Oh holy hell DW! Hang in there, what a pain in the ass. I feel like "what a pain in the ass" doesn't do the situation justice and just can't believe your back yard, it's appalling!

  4. DW I've seen this on others homes bully by Ryan. Have they checked the flashing? That's usually why so many people have the leaky windows.

That yard is inexcusable. Have you complained on their FB page? Or Twitter? We had issues with our SR and complaining there got things done quickly. I'm sorry you are going through this...

  6. oh my... I would be FURIOUS! Who is your service guy? If you don't have a good contact, I can send you the name of someone that services our area, they came out in 1 hour when my cabinets weren't level, so yeah, they can't be THAT busy. The guy that came from RH was super nice and helpful even though things were out of warranty he took care of it. I know his first name was Dave and my service contact is a Matt Dermyer, and he always is very responsive to me.

    2. I contact a Matt Dermyer when I need something, actually, just the other day, I noticed my cabinets on my kitchen island were crooked (the one I bought from 84 Lumber) and I saw it was due to the incorrect hinges on one of the doors, I emailed him 2 days ago to see if he had any extras, and yesterday 3 were in my mail box! Any time I ask him to do something, someone is there next day or even same day, he is awesome! Maybe you should shoot him an email and see if he can help you out, even if your community isn't in his jurisdiction his email is just his first initial and last name (all together) at nvrinc dot com (I spelled it out so he wouldn't get spammed)

  8. Damn, just read this DW. Holy crap. If I had guests come over to my house... I have no idea what I would say to them about the damages. "Oh yeah, that's like a new style that I saw on Pinterest". HA! Man, I sure do hope RH get their acts together because that is definitely unacceptable! Keep us updated!

  9. I have to say that we've had the same experience. Our front step is crumbling and their solution to me is for me to find the contractor…like I have time to do that with a toddler! But I agree, don't give up!
